Its not a surprise that there is much to
long for from the CEO of The NaijaEdition Fashion Company, Mr. Temitope Osibajo. The latest gist
in town informs the general public and followers on social media about mouth
watering anticipatory pictures from the photo shoot session of his new
collection, THE CLASSIC MAN COLLECTION
2016.
Yes! we have seen dapper men in suits, and
traditional outfits from the sneak peak of this collection, we had an interview
with him to tell us about his new collection and the supposed side tag
collection called the GHETTO GLITTERS
COLLECTION. Enjoy!
Good afternoon sir, how you
dey?
Fine o! Thank you. Good afternoon.
The fashion industry has
emerged to what we have now, what do you think is the future?
Its a good thing that it has emerged really into
what we are having now. Some Nigerians of before have changed in ideology,
maybe its a matter of the “change” regime that we are now. (laughs). The
embrace of what is made in Nigeria
has made our local manufacturers to keep up with the good works. It has
not only put money on the table, it has helped improve the economy,
provide job opportunities. It’s indeed a good development. We are
appreciated the patronages. We bless God. If we continue to embrace
what we have, we should build a better and structured industry. We may
need more education to get it properly structured though.
We see a lot of emerging
designers, how has this presence affected?
Truth is, the fashion market is a huge market and
it has not been competitive from my point of view as long as there is a
unique feature for your brand. The clients have different taste and
loyalty goals. Quality is also important. We thank God that we are still
in business.
What are the things you live
by in sustaining your business?
Dedication to duty, quality, effective
communication, creativity, customer satisfaction and others.
The Classic Man Collection
2016 sir? (clears-throat)
Yes. Soon soon, The collection drops. The date
will be announced on our social media pages, our website and other
blog-sites. Its huge, the collection features over 50 looks. We are
bombarding with a wholesome fashion experience. If you take styling cues
from it, you wouldn't go wrong.
Whats the inspiration for
this collection?
Simplicity has been our style, yet unique. So the
collection is not more than that but it has got a lot of categories. The
Classic Man is that 9-5 workman who is dapper in suits and accessories by
Naija Edition in the day and later stylish in our casuals and trads. Popularly,
Beside every classic man, there is a woman. We have pieces for ladies in
this collection. Ladies, I see your fingers crossed. (laughs)
Tell us about your GHETTO
GLITTERS COLLECTION.
Ghetto is beautiful! So we went on engineering
inspections at a site and it struck me that there can even be glitters in
the ghetto. Ghetto indigenes can also look brilliant and sharp, then we
tailored pieces to accentuate the idea. It will drop side by side with the
Classic Man Collection 2016.
Ok, Oga we do reach the part
